Housed in one of the most iconic building of Bilbao, Azkuna Zentroa is a cultural and community center and is a must visit for anyone in the city. Taking up a whopping 43,000 m2, the building was repurposed by converting the old wine warehouses of the city.
The project, spearheaded by the famous designer Phillipe Starks, has won the "Global Awards for Excellence" – the only European Center to have won this distinction – that is awarded in recognition of the best and the most meaningful practices in the field of property development.
Today, the transformed area houses a number of concert and exhibition halls and is used for a huge range of diverse events.
