Located in Tainan, Taiwan, the Anping treehouse is a former warehouse that is now covered with the branches and roots of banyan trees.
The house was built in the 1860s, and was used to store sugar and other commodities when the area was a hub for trading. Over the years, the branches and roots that took hold have been left alone to grow, and the building opened to visitors in 2004.
An elevated walkway above the structure allows visitors to move freely and get the best view of the unique building. Inside there's a museum which gives an overview of the area's trading history.Places nearby:
