The most popular of Thailand's many floating markets is Amphawa floating market, located on the Mae Klong river near Bangkok.
Over 30 miles of stalls tempt tourists and locals, with souvenirs, clothing and traditional crafts, as well as a variety of food and drink. Seafood is especially popular, with much of it prepared and cooked right there on the boats, and the market is also known for its freshly made desserts, many made with coconut.
