The Ambedkar Memorial Park in Lucknow, India is dedicated to Dr. B. R Ambedkar. He was a social activist and is considered as the father of the Indian Constitution. The public park is spread across 108 acres of land. The stupa dedicated to Ambedkar lies at the heart of the memorial park and contains statues of the man. One of the statues was inspired by that of Abraham Lincoln's at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.
The entrance to the stupa is guarded by the impressive statues of 62 elephants. The park is also dedicated to other important Indian social reformers and workers. The 80 foot pyramid like structure at the center offers visitors an incredible view of the park.Places nearby:
