Addo elephant national park is where you can experience some fantastic wildlife. If elephants are what you would like to see, then this park is the place to be. It is the largest national reserve in the country, and the park is situated in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
The park starts from the semi-arid karoo added and spreads over the mountain and down through to Sunday's river valley. It has the largest elephant populations, and there are approximately 550 of them left. Elephants once roamed the entire continent of Africa; however, by the end of 1979, there were only 1.3 million of them left.
This park's goal is to preserve the elephant population for generations to come.
